BA (Visual Basic for Applications) is the programming language of Excel and other Office programs. : With Excel VBA you can automate tasks Excel.
Excel Macros Section 1: Programming Macros in Excel
In this first section, you will learn how easy it is to record macros with the Macro Recorder and to create other macros of your own in the Visual Basic Editor. Example use cases for this are accounting, basic math, calculating discounts when purchasing web hosting, websites & more.
You will discover that:
- the Macro Recorder is not only a recorder but it is the best teacher and it will be a great assistant (writing code for you) even when you become an expert at programming in VBA.
- the Visual Basic Editor is the most user-friendly development environment that tells you immediately if there are mistakes in your sentences so that you do not have to wait at the end of your project to realize that something that you have written is wrong.
- in the Visual Basic Editor, you will create these powerful and useful user forms
- in the Visual Basic editor you will test your macros step by step, modify them and improve them.
After section 1, you will be able to copy all the macros available on the internet and use them efficiently in your own workbooks
The Visual Basic Editor in Excel (VBE):
When you want somebody to do some work for you, you open your Email program and you send him a message in a language that he understands (English, Spanish, French…). When you want Excel to do some work for you, you open the Visual Basic Editor and you write the instructions in a language that Excel understands VBA (Visual Basic for Application).
You will develop, test and modify VBA procedures (macros) in the Excel Visual Basic Editor (VBE).
It is a very user-friendly development environment. VBA procedures developed in the VBE become part of the workbook in which they are developed and when the workbook is saved the VBA components (including macros, modules, user forms and other components that you will discover in the next 32 lessons) are saved at the same time. So, when you send the workbook to the “Recycling Bin” the VBA procedures (macros) are destroyed.
Advanced Excel VBA Programming:
Advanced Excel VBA Programming tutorial is for advanced users who are comfortable with the Basics and VBA programming concepts.
In this section, you will learn how to develop the Forms and interact with the other applications, handling the files and other advanced VBA programming concepts
. By the end of these sessions, you will be comfortable with VBA and be confident to develop the tools to automate complex tasks. And will be able to create complex dashboards.
Features & Functions of Microsoft Excel:
Whether for work or home use, an Excel spreadsheet is the best tool in Microsoft Office for organizing data and making lists
. Although Word documents can include tables and columns, Excel makes laying out information far easier.
Excel also has a range of functions for designing formulas that automate calculations.
Although Excel looks intimidating at first, the program’s layout is similar to other Office applications, so if you’ve used Word, you’ll feel at home after a look around. To get extra help with a particular button on Excel’s ribbon, hover your cursor over it to see a tip.
